Hey there, had this game in the back of my mind ever since I spoke with you about it during the jam. Has it developed behind the scenes at all?
Hey there! Sorry for the late reply, I missed your message, my apologies!
With regard to the project itself, we were working on it after the jam. However, a few people have had to stop working on the project, and we have struggled to find artists to help create the levels and character models, so the project has been on hold in that regard until we can find someone. Apart from that, I am slowly working on systems and tools in the background as we fleshed out what we wanted the game to look like. But until we can find the aforementioned people, the project will basically be on hold. :(
Fantastic idea and visually captivating. Reminds me of The Thing as I was waiting for something to jump out and attack me!!! Waiting for the full release!!
Thank you! Yes, we are hard at work on the full release! :D
Trust me when I say this, I was Ready to shoot at anything that moved.
Great minimalist concept. I felt being in the submarine, I felt the floor I walked on, I feat the dreadful feeling of finding an intruder on the ship.
I understand game is incomplete, I was wondering if there was anything else to interact other than door that I could have missed.
Good concept for a full fledged game.
Thanks a lot!
Right now it's just doors, but we are working on interacting with items and certain other objects in the submarine.
I have never played a game with so little content.
There is nothing, nothing at all, except a few rooms and a few doors that open.
The graphics and atmosphere are great.
E and ESC do not work in the 1 bit version.
Hey there! Yeah, we managed to build out the atmosphere but couldn't get around to finalizing what the gameplay would look like. 1 week really snuck up on us haha. We are planning to finish it off though!
Also, can you clarify what you mean by the E and ESC key not working in the 1-bit version?
1-bit Version:
When I press "E" to shoot, nothing happens.
When I press "ESC" the game is not closed.
That's great to hear that you guys are going to finish the game. As I said, except for the missing content, it looks good.
I apologize if I'm misunderstanding, but there is only 1 version of the game. "1-bit version" would imply multiple versions of the game, so I am unsure what you mean by this.
I am unable to reproduce [ESC] not closing the game. Do you have any conflicting keymapping that might be causing problems?
Shoot is bound to [Space] not [E]. [E] is bound to interact.
When I installed the game, a) the Itch client asked me which version (K-279 or 1-Bit-Jam) I wanted to play and b) there was a 1-BitJam.EXE and the K-279.EXE in the folder.
Now you tell me that there is only one version.
Correct, after reinstalling the game, this 1-BitJam.exe is no longer present.
I am too old for such "games", Thanks for the conversation.
Good luck
Oh I see, You must have downloaded the initial submission, we made some minor changes after the fact and the most recent version is on the game's page itself, so "K-279.exe" should be the most recent version.
I've never used the Itch client so I wasn't aware of it working like that, thanks for the info. 👍
Wow, the game's atmosphere is impressive!! Great game!!! Looking forward to the full game!!!
Awesome game and design! Can't wait to see the finished product :)
Thank you!
